Living Art Lab – Marineterrein Amsterdam
Living Art Lab is a cross-over, artistic research program, that investigates the transformation of the Marineterrein and the challenges that cities worldwide face.

To kick-off the Living Art Lab, German / Dutch artist Tilmann Meyer-Faje presents the installation GAME OVER in the former shooting range of the Marineterrein in which he explores the essence of the Navy.

Living Art Lab is an initiative of Cityscapes Foundation and Bureau Marineterrein in collaboration with Bureau Broedplaatsen.

Meyer-Faje is fascinated by the expression of military power: the style of the uniforms, the organizational structure, the training, the barracks and above all navy ships. After his series ‘FULL SPEED AHEAD’ (2016), with container ships collapsing under their load, Meyer-Faje now presents ‘GAME OVER’ a fleet of deforming ceramic warships, which he made this spring at European Ceramic Work Center, EKWC.

GAME OVER was made possible thanks to Stichting Van Achterbergh Domhof, Amsterdam Fonds voor de Kunst and Stichting Stokroos.
